Duties & Responsibilities

  • Directly communicating with clients.
  • Coordinating with subconsultants.
  • Coordinating between project managers and CAD staff.
  • Produce a variety of project documents including preliminary design analysis, programming, conceptual diagrams, working drawings, and project specifications for large and medium scale design projects.
  • Utilize architectural design software to accommodate all design phases including, but not limited to client presentations, energy analysis and evaluation of materials and architectural assemblies.
  • Assist in estimating the cost to complete architectural work.
  • Assist project manager in the preparation of architectural designs, related drawings, specifications, and construction project estimates.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to prepare construction documents.
  • Performing other tasks deemed necessary by the project manager from time to time.

Qualifications

The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in architectural design.  The applicant must have recent experience with CAD systems, particularly AutoCAD and Revit.

Conditions of Employment

The appropriately qualified candidate will have the following core competencies and required experience:

  • Proficient using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Comfortable collaborating in a team environment.
  • Have a genuine passion for listening to clients and team members.
  • The candidate must hold a master’s or professional degree from an accredited architecture program.  
  • Familiar with technical specifications.
  • Strong mathematical and reasoning skills.
  • A sound knowledge of architectural design principles.

  • The ability to meet deadlines.

Experience working with SketchUp, VRAY, Enscape, Lumion and Adobe Design Suite is a plus. The ability to present and speak in front of a group is preferred.
