CBS2 Story

CBS² was established in Chippewa Falls, WI during the spring of 2011 by four individuals with a passion for engineering and architecture. We are now headquartered in Minneapolis, MN with five other locations in Wisconsin. CBS² is a small, woman owned firm that employs nearly 100 individuals. We offer our clients unmatched expertise provided by our dedicated and multi-disciplined employees. Since inception, CBS² has grown quickly, becoming a trusted partner for public and private sector clients providing engineering and architectural design services as well as survey, construction management & oversight, and grant writing services.

Design Process

We have a client process that is designed to ensure that we fully understand our clients' needs and that we are able to deliver projects that meet their expectations using the following steps:

1. Initial consultation: We begin by meeting with our clients to understand their needs and goals for the project. During this initial consultation, we gather information about the project scope, budget, and timeline.

2. Proposal and contract: After the initial consultation, we prepare a proposal that outlines the scope of work, budget, and timeline for the project. Once the proposal is accepted, we enter into a contract with our clients that outlines the terms and conditions of the project.

3. Design and planning: Our team of architects and engineers then begin the design and planning phase of the project. During this phase, we work closely with our clients to develop detailed plans and specifications for the project.

4. Review and approval: Once the design and planning phase is complete, we present our plans and specifications to our clients for review and approval. We work closely with our clients to address any concerns or issues that may arise during this phase.

5. Construction: After the review and approval phase, we begin the construction phase of the project. Our team works closely with the contractors and other project partners to ensure that the project is constructed to the highest standards and that it meets the needs of our clients.

6. Closeout: After the construction phase is complete, we conduct a final review of the project to ensure that it meets our clients' expectations. We also provide our clients with the necessary documentation and certificates, such as building permits and as-built drawings.

7. Post-construction support: We don't just stop after the project completion, we continue to provide our clients with post-construction support, such as warranty services, ongoing maintenance and facilities management.

This was the largest project Chippewa County has completed in quite some time and it went extremely well.

Our team of engineers includes civil, structural, and environmental engineers who bring years of experience and expertise to each project. Our surveyors have years of experience and utilize the latest technology to ensure accurate measurements and data collection.
